Gardens of Babylon
|
Before you blossoms the trees,
Where the honeysuckle grows;
Beside you dance the water-lilies,
Upon the gentle stream flows;
Around you the fountain springs,
Play like an emerald harp;
Their lullabies surround you,
Offering pearls of love from the heart.
Above you the petals of tropical buds,
Fall incandescently in the breeze;
Below you shine upon the tips of the grass,
The dew of summer’s dreams;
To you comes the harmony of nature,
The spirit of spring is calling;
From you emotions are expressed in your eyes,
Upon the petals, your soul is blooming.
With you is the bliss
Of the secret world’s melody;
Inside you is the golden key
To enter this garden and within yourself;
Be free.
